We are in Arizona, not for vacation, but currently living in Arizona. I know, we're hard to keep track of, but for the time being, here we are! Here's the scoop...Dieter got moved to the Denver base, so we are going to try out the whole commuting thing and see how it goes. If all goes well, we'll hopefully be staying...if it's not going to work out, we'll be moving to Denver. Either way, we are very excited to be here and to be further out west near family even though we have LOVED living out east.
We packed up the truck a week ago Saturday and started our drive late that afternoon. We got to Bristol, TN and decided to call it a night and stayed in a hotel. Next day, slept in just a little and headed out to Memphis, TN where we stayed with Dieter's brother and family, Victor, Alayna, Max, Graham, and baby Grey. Tennessee is a very long state! We left their place on Monday morning and made it to Amarillo, TX where we stayed the night in a super nice Comfort Inn, who knew! Tuesday we drove till we made it to Glendale, AZ where we stayed with my brother and his super wife Kara until we could unpack and get the truck back. Maddison was a super star the whole drive! Thank goodness she's still in newborn sleep mode otherwise it would have been more of a challenge. We also had my awesome mom
come out to Virginia and help us with the driving and with Maddison while we were moving and packing the truck. She was so helpful and I am so glad she was able to help us out!!

Maddison and her daddy-first night on the road.
She had her arm out like that with fist closed for I don't know how long.

Victor, Maddison, and Dieter

Maddison got to meet her cousins, Graham, Max, and Grey. They were all so cute and excited to meet her and she got many many kisses from her cousin Graham. We are so glad she got to meet some of the family on our way out.

Dieter and baby Grey-she is an absolute doll!

Alayna and cutie pie Grey

Our little traveler-this is what she was doing for 2,450 miles over 4 days-except with eyes closed usually.
Many thanks to Victor and Alayna for letting us crash at their place. We love seeing you guys whenever we can; you're awesome! And many thanks to my mom for helping with the move and driving all that way with us; for my dad and Jonathan for helping us unpack in AZ and for Kara who was a super duper hostess while we stayed with them the night we got in-loved the yummy homemade pizza! You're all the best and we're so glad we get to be part of your family!
